Chinese food

Grekiska mat i all ara- men ibland blir jag super sugen pa kina mat. Min absoluta favorit ar Sumo Tasty i Voula. Trots att den ser lite - eller valdigt - skum ut sa lagar det riktigt god kina mat. Forst och framst sa ar de kineser som arbetar dar, jag som kan mandarin bestallar alltid pa kineiska. Dears Singapore fried noodles ar bast! Xie xie! MEN - undvik sushi !

Greek food is great- but sometimes I crave Chinese take out. Right now my favorite place is Sumo Tasty in Voula. It may not look the best from the outside, but the food is delicious. Since I speak Mandarin, I always order in Chinese. Their seamed dumplings and Singapore fried noodles are top!

The Margi

Alla fika var fulla eftersom det blaste sa mycket, sa det blev lunch pa mysiga the Margi i Vouliagmeni. Det gor en urgod club sandwich. Margi ar verkligen ett fint hotell men vackra mobler, levande ljus, mysiga mattor, oppen spis...

All the coffee shops were packed with people due to the windy weather. So we ended up at the Margi Hotel for a quick bite. The Margi is beautifully located in Vouliagmeni, the interoir design is gorgeous with rich carpets, flowers, candlelit tables....

Sa har harligt var det idag med barnvagnen, 18 grader och sol... Inte helt fel.

Coffee time

Det blev en god cafe latte i solen i vouliagmeni idag. yum!

Drinks at Moorings

Vi mötte upp med några goda vänner och hade cocktails på taket på Moorings i Vouliagmeni. Det var riktigt trevligt och deras cocktails är super goda... Verkligen mysigt

We met up with some good friends and had cocktails on the roof garden of Moorings in Vouliagmeni. It was really nice and their drinks are delicious!

Vouliagmeni beach

Jag och min kompis M gick till Vouliagmeni stranden (παραλία της Βουλιαγμένης). Det var lite mulet, men det var ändå väldigt mysigt, varmt och gott.

Me and my friend M went to vouliagmeni beach (παραλία της Βουλιαγμένης ). It was a little cloudy, but it was still very nice and not at all crowded.

Lunch by the sea

Vi firade första maj med en mysig lunch vid havet ... och det var så varmt! 30 grader. Som ni ser, massor av människor simmar redan i havet.

We celebrated the first of may with a lunch by the sea...and it was so hot! 30 degrees. As you see ; lots of people swimming in the sea.

Local market

Varje torsdag finns en stor frukt, blomm och grönsaks- marknad i Voula. Jag handlade lite biologiska tomater och blommor .

Every Thursday fruit, flower and vegetable seller set up a huge out door market in Voula. I picked up some fresh biological tomatoes and flowers - for just a fraction of the super market prices.

Summer - siga siga

Whoo hoo - på torsdag kommer vara rekord temp för 2012. Det kommer bli + 27 grader!!!

Ithaki

En stopp var denna fantastiska (men dyra) restaurang Ithanki på halvön Vouliagmeni. Apperenlty massor av kändisar gå dit. Vistiors har inkluderat Athina Onassis till Bill Clinton, från Sean Connery till Julio Iglesias och Leonardo DiCaprio ... Deras krabba och mangosallad var jättegott. På kvällen har de också en sushi kock och servera sushi.

One stop was this amazing (and amazingly expensive) restaurant Ithaki in the Peninsula of  Vouliagmeni. Apparently lots of celebreties go there. Vistiors have included Athina Onassis to Bill Clinton, from Sean Connery to Julio Iglesias and Leonardo DiCaprio... Their crab, mango and avocado salad with lime dressing was delicious! In the evening they also have a sushi chef and serve sushi .

 

matsuhisa

Den absolut bästa (och mest $ $) Japanska restaurangen är Matsuhisa ligger i Vouliagmeni vackert precis vid vattnet. Det är en fantastisk restaurang med super god mat. Vi njöt av Black Cod och deras söta glasstrutar ..

By far the best (and most $$) Japanese restaurant is Matsuhisa, located out in Vouliagmeni right on the water front. It is an amazing restaurant with super food. We enjoyed their Black Cod and the cute Ice Cream cones ..  

The beach

Hej kära blogg-läsare. Hoppas ni alla hade en underbar helg. Vi gick till stranden. Okej, jag hade inte pa mig bikini riktigt ännu ... men det var mysigt att sitta och sola med en kall kaffe och läsa lite svenska tidningar.

Hello dear blog-readers. Hope you all had lovely weekend. We went to the beach. Okay, I didn't wear a bikini just yet... but a tank-top. We had iced coffees, read magazins and soaked up the sun.

From an hour ago...

Jag mötte upp med en väninna för en power walk. Vi promenixade i över 1,5 timme runt Kavouri and Lemos. Det var 20 grader. Super nice!

The days are getting longer...finally.

I met up with a girl friend for a power walk. We did 1.5 hr around Vouliagmeni & Kavouri. It was 20 degrees! Super nice! 

En Plo, Vouliagmeni

Glyfada visade upp sin bästa sida i helgen. Super soligt och 18 grader ... * under dagen *. Vi fikade på En Plo, ett kafé alldeles vid vattnet i Vouliagmeni.

Glyfada showed off its best side this weekend. Super sunny & 18 degrees...*in the day time*. We had coffees at En Plo, a coffee shop right on the waterfront in Vouliagmeni. During the "winter", I always drink tea or warm cappuccino. But yesterday was the officially the start of spring: my first Cappuccino Freddo (the cold version of a Cappuccino) out in the sun.... 

Vouliagmeni lake

We also went over to Vouliagmeni lake. Here is the story behind this a small fresh-water lake. Currents seep through from the mass of Mount Hymettu . The lake is 24 degrees Celsius all year round, and because you can always swim it is used as a health spa.

No one know how deep the lake is! It continues deep inside the mountain in an underwater cave never fully explored. Many underwater expeditions have been carried out in order to chart it, and a few amateur divers have drowned trying....

The beach

Vädret var superfint häromdagen. Folk simmade och spela beach tennis. Inte konstigt att grekerna blir bruna ... de startar ju tidigt.

The weather was fab the other day. People were swimming and playing beach tennis. No wonder Greeks get great sun tans, if they start in March !

no kite

Vädret var riktigt dåligt igår, vilket betydde att nästan ingen flög drake.  Inte vi heller. Det blev fika i Varkiza. Titta på den dramatiska himlen ...

So the weather was really bad yesterday, which menat almost no one flew kites. we took a drive with the car and had a coffee in Varkiza instead. Look at the dramatic skies...

Sushi cravings

Jag måste ha sushi !!! Problemet är bara det mycket begränsade urval av sushi i Glyfada - ja faktiskt i Aten. Hur kommer det grekiska inte äter i sushi? Stockholm har en sushibar i varje hörn, med bra kvalitet och priser. Jag testade Sumo Tasty (en kinesisk och japansk restaurang i Voula). Tog lite avokado och gurka makis, 12 euro för 16 bitar. Då fick man räkchips och sötsur sås också ...

I am soo in the mood for sushi- only problem is the very limited choice of sushi in Glyfada - well actually in Athens in general. How come Greek are not into sushi? Stockholm has a sushi bar on every corner, with good quality and prices. I tried . Sumo Tasty  (a Chinese & Japanese restaurant in Voula). I got only vegitarian ones, since I was not sure how fresh their tuna and salmon was. The avocado ones were good, and the cumcumber maki too. 12 euros for 16 pieces. Birthday

Jag hade min födelsedag för några dagar sedan. Först firade vi med min grekiska famil, det vlev traditionell lunch på en taverna. Sen blev det tjejlunch  vid havet följande dag. Vi gick till Moorings i Vouliagmeni som är super trevlig och precis vid vattnet.

I hade my birthday a few days ago. First we celebrated with the Greek family, traditional lunch at a taverna. And then I got a few girlfriends together for a lunch by the sea the following day. We went to Moorings in Vouliagmeni, which is super nice and right on the water.
